We are a community of Black businesses and professionals in New Brunswick, Canada. Our mission is to identify, develop, and provide opportunities for Black talent, empowering them to thrive in New Brunswick.

With a focus on building a brighter future for our community, we are committed to transforming challenges into opportunities through innovation, collaboration, and purposeful action.

Economic Empowerment

We ensure the economic empowerment of our brilliant black entrepreneurs for guaranteed success. We nurture them with training, honest guidance, networking, business opportunities by providing grants or loans, equal opportunities to men and women across Canada, and valuable resources to grow for their personal and career advancements.

Our Vision

To be the catalyst for economic, social, and cultural advancement for Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and seniors in New Brunswick and across Canada, recognizing that today’s students and youth are tomorrow’s leaders, and tomorrow’s leaders are the seniors who will shape our lasting legacy.

Our Mission

Empower Black Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Youths, Students, and Seniors by creating value through sustainable and efficient growth in all operational activities.

BBPN’s mission is to contribute to the economic empowerment and welfare of all members within New Brunswick and across Canada by fostering entrepreneurship, providing training, facilitating networking, and creating employment and business opportunities. We aim to support every generation, from students entering their first classroom to seniors who have built our community’s foundation through BBPN’s carefully curated core areas: STEEFAAM;  Science, Technology, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Agriculture, Arts, and Mathematics; ensuring they thrive in traditional and emerging industries.

We believe that every student becomes a professional, every professional becomes a mentor, and every mentor carries the dignity of a senior. BBPN serves the full arc of the Black experience, ensuring all members thrive in traditional and emerging industries, and that no generation is left behind.

Our Objectives

  • To provide Black students, entrepreneurs, professionals, and seniors the connections and resources they need to excel and thrive at every stage of life through networking that matches their talent and life stage.
  • To assist Black entrepreneurs and senior business owners with useful resources including training materials, funding, networking opportunities, and free consultation services that meet regulatory requirements for operating a business in New Brunswick.
  • To guide professionals and experienced seniors along thriving pathways that expand their networks, honour their expertise, and sustain their earning potential and legacy contributions to the community.
  • To improve the financial education of all members, from youth financial literacy to senior financial security and promote intergenerational wealth building for current and future generations.
  • To diminish health disparities caused by systemic racism by promoting mental and physical health awareness and fostering equitable access to healthcare and wellness initiatives for all ages, including seniors facing isolation and age-related vulnerability.
  • To provide a college-to-industry professional pathway for students and a parallel industry-to-legacy pathway for seniors through programs that bridge generations and create mentorship pipelines.
  • To champion digital inclusion for all members, equipping youth with digital citizenship skills and supporting seniors with safe and confident access to technology through BBPN’s digital safety programming.
  • To celebrate Black cultural expression and preserve legacy through arts, storytelling, and community programming that honours the contributions of seniors as cultural anchors of the community.

Community

We foster a sense of belonging and unity among Black professionals and businesses in New Brunswick. Through collaboration, shared resources, and mutual support, we create a vibrant and thriving community.

Youth

We inspire and equip young Black individuals with mentorship, resources, and opportunities. Our programs prepare the next generation of leaders to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

Professionals

We empower Black professionals with the tools, networks, and platforms to excel in their careers. From skill-building workshops to networking events, we create pathways for growth and success.

Education & Technology

We bridge gaps in education and technology by advocating for equitable access and offering innovative training. Our initiatives drive progress and support lifelong learning for the Black community.

Businesses

We champion Black-owned businesses by providing mentorship, resources, and advocacy. Our programs support entrepreneurs in launching, growing, and sustaining ventures for lasting economic impact.

Arts & Culture

We celebrate Black arts and culture as a cornerstone of our heritage. By showcasing talent and promoting creative expression, we strengthen cultural identity and inspire the broader community.

Seniors

We honour the generation that built the foundation. BBPN walks alongside Black seniors by providing wellness support, legal literacy, digital inclusion, and community connection programs that preserve dignity, celebrate legacy, and ensure no senior is left behind. We recognize that seniors are not a peripheral population; they are the living heritage of our community, and their well-being is inseparable from the strength of our collective future.
